Can I Talk Dirty to You for a Moment?

It’s about “grederents.”You may think I’ve gone a little coo-coo  making up words.

And it’s one of my favorite things to do. Runs in the family–Bobby, Joy and I all did it as kids–My mother was especially good at it–and in her theatrical voice.

And we (us sibs)  loved to make grederents:

( not really my mother– except maybe she did– one year she got very domestic and made crabapple jelly from the crabapples from our crabapple tree–most of the other part of the time she was a very serious, hardworking pediatric allergist who did very important research and had her own lab at the hospital. Come to think of it mixing things up in a lab is kind of like making “grederents.”) DSC_0396

Our “grederents” were a toxic blend of liquids, half liquids and half solids in a large glass or bowl stirred not shaken for the most perfecting disgusting substance product bringing forth deliciously disgusted ooos and ahhhs from the peanut gallery.

Mixing grederents is one the things I love most about painting–

I love to discover which paints sing great harmony and make each other even more beautiful and which are kind of off key or make  yucky muddy colors like the Easter egg colors my sons used to make because they would not stop dipping the perfectly azure, spring green, yellowy orange, reddish orange, lemony yellow Easter eggs until were grey or brown!

It used to drive my artist brain crazy.

Now for the really talking dirty part!  Let’s have an orgy.

Squirt some Grumbacher Ultramarine Blue into a glass tapioca dish.

Sidle up to it with healthy squeeze of Grumbacher permanent Blue Light (or it’s more beautiful name Celeste Permanente–I think that’s Spanish?) Dab together with a wet brush.

I’m not going to tell you what it looks like except that it’s heavenly. 😉

Do try this at home!

Orgiastic.  I had to look up orgiastic:  wasn’t sure about the meaning compared to the other O word. The meaning was perfect!

It means “like an orgy”

which sounds very racy,

but not so much

when the participants in the orgy are my eyes and the paints.  😉

I love you guys! ❤
